Make your own Tail Boom Braces.

I just got tired of the CF rods coming out of the end caps. It didn’t matter how much glue I put on it, they always seemed to pop out. I saw the one-piece versions from Align and thought I could make those myself and save about $10. I found some similar aluminum tubing at Hobby Lobby in a three pack and I was off to the braces, so to speak.

I fill mine with a “double secret” compound to help strengthen them. The result is one piece, light weight yet strong brace that can be cut to a custom length. The added bonus is that they are very easy to straighten, even from a 90° bend. I can sell these for $7.00 a set and make them up to 14-inches in length. Email me if you have any questions about them.
