Great American Eclipse of 2017
« on: August 22, 2017, 03:40:49 PM »
Hey guys, took the P4 up during the eclipse yesterday.  Here in SC we had 2 minutes and 16 seconds of totality and really neat light and shadows on either side of that.  When it got dark, the crickets started chirping, the tree frogs began to sing and it got dark enough to see the brightest stars.  Here's my video of the eclipse from above our little town.

Hey, is anybody home?  Did anyone else get to see the eclipse?

Sorry for not responding sooner, been out of it for awhile....
That was sweet! You were up for the entire production - that must've been fun to see and experience. I like how everything was fooled.

We were about 70 miles from home visiting a friend's business in downtown Birmingham. A great town (high end - expensive) with small shops and restaurants, street cafes, etc. The streets were filled with gawkers and iphones. My friend is a jeweler and had a couple of pairs of welding glasses so we took a peek. We didn't get the full eclipse, but it was still kinda neat to see.

Thanks for posting Tom.
