NAZA Flight Control Boards / Re: Naza m-lite flips on take off
« Last post by Rumblecloud on Today at 08:33:59 AM »
Morning Joe,
 :t2030:
Not getting the dance to work is an issue. It helps to set the compass and that's the only way to do it - seems rather archaic, but what are ya gonna do

I've watched the video several times and everything looks smooth.

Couple of things:
Have you calibrated the IMU? There is an adjustment in the Asst Software and it's easy to miss. As I recall, there are two different calibrations, one for basic and one for advanced - I could be wrong on this and there may only be one. I know that mine gave me a hell of a hard time trying to get it to function, but perseverance finally won out.

As for the quad lifting on arm, yes you are correct, turn down the idle speed. I think it should be in the 850 range?

Do all the stick functions work in the Asst Software? I assume they do.

Thanks for the post and query. Others will be along to offer their input as well -- as soon as they get their arses out of bed  :face-slap: :b0201:

NAZA Flight Control Boards / Naza m-lite flips on take off
« Last post by joewickert on April 29, 2017, 07:49:12 PM »
Hi,

I'm building a quad using the crossfire2 3d printed parts. Here's a slomo video of what happens when i arm it.

Here's the direct link to the video, I can't get  embedding to work for Vimeo.

https://vimeo.com/215296517

I'm using the Turnigy 9x and have set so the the switch flips through GPS/Att/man in the assistant software.

I've double checked the motors are going into correct ports, spinning right way and have the right props on.

I could never get the Naza dance to work, is that an issue?

Or maybe esc's aren't set up right, using simonk 20a with the 3 cable power connection.

Also it wants to lift off as soon as I arm it with the props i have on it 10x4.5s, is that just a matter of setting the idle speed down.

Thanks for all the great info getting set up on here. It got me to this point.

Joe

The boss of a Madison Avenue advertising agency called a spontaneous staff meeting in the middle of a particularly stressful week. (This is one pretty sharp boss!)

When everyone gathered, the boss, who understood the benefits of having fun, told the burnt out staff the purpose of the meeting was to have a quick contest. The theme: Viagra advertising slogans. The only rule was they had to use past ad slogans, originally written for other products that captured the essence of Viagra. Slight variations were acceptable.

About 7 minutes later, they turned in their suggestions and created a Top 10 List.. With all the laughter and camaraderie, the rest of the week went very well for everyone! The top 10 were:

    10. Viagra, Whaazzzz up!
    9. Viagra, The quicker pecker picker upper.
    8. Viagra, like a rock!
    7. Viagra, When it absolutely, positively has to be there overnight.
    6. Viagra, Be all that you can be.
    5. Viagra, Reach out and touch someone.
    4. Viagra, Strong enough for a man, but made for a woman.
    3. Viagra, Home of the whopper !
    2. Viagra, We bring good things to Life!

And the unanimous number one slogan:  :t1815:

    1. This is your peepee... This is your peepee on drugs

Looking very good!  I'm looking forward to seeing the flight videos.  Are you thinking that your switch issues are from something to do with with channel and TX switch assignment, or perhaps from the hardware itself?  BTW, I've had great service from those Sunny Sky motors--I have the same ones on my 550.

It looks really good Jeff!
Take the first flight nice and easy. When you have time we can work on the things that aren't working. Maybe post a shot of your radio menus or something.

well, I finally got my 550 built & programmed:t2980: I'm using SunnySky X2212-13 980-11 KV motors & 10'' Nylon props & Velotech Magic Multirotor Speed Controller 30A with SimonK Program OPTO. I couldn't get the FS to work on the two-way switch or the lights on a switch & the tilt on the gimbal tried everything but no luck  :t2954: what the problem is. I haven't tried flying it yet it's way to  :t110011: hoping to get a chance to fly this weekend & try out my new 5800mAh 25 C battery on it. here are a few boring pictures of it.
