This is my first Planker in years, looking forward to working on it in between my Multi Rotors.

Somebody's got the Hobby Fever....  :face-slap: :b0201: :b0201: :b0201:

Looks like you will be busy building 2 multis and a plank, plus helping rebuild the f450 after crashes...  :b0209: :b0206:

Looking forward to all the builds and maiden flights...  :t2030: :t2030:

I guess I'm one of those people with too much time on their hands Dave. I used to raise tropical fish but I quit that so I need something to fill in the time.   :coolguy:

I thought about trying to make it a 3 ch. RC but I don't know if it will handle it. Way too much time on my hands what do you think Dave?   :b0201: :b0201: :b0201: :b0201:

Are you going to put a Cox .049 on it or make it electric?

Probably electric, if I went with gas it would probably be an .020 if you can even find them anymore.

When I got back into RC a few years back I sold my .049 and a .074.  No regrets, I don't want to screw with them little things.  I'll just throw a 2S in and off we go...

Looking at an old Guillows kit takes me back to the late 70' s and early 80' s when I first cut my teeth on building wood planes .
Now here I am never getting tired of getting glues and paints on me . post some pics of the build we would love to see them  .

And if you look around there is many of these that are electric and 3-4 channel .  But if you go to 3 channel you need to add a considerable amount of dihedral to the main wing ( common with all rudder bugs as us ol timers call them )  , or figure a way to use ailerons .

keep us posted

IF FLYING R.C. WAS ILLEGAL... HER AND I WOULD BE CAREER CRIMINALS

This is how far I have gotten so far since I've had some things happen that slowed me down but I am enjoying building it;

Well guys, since I sold my drones and haven't decided which way i'm going next I guess it's time to breath life into an old project. As you can see I started this Cessna 170 about 2 years ago and for some reason I put it on the shelf, well lets see if I can finish it. It's ready to be covered, I'll post some pictures as soon as I figure out how to do that in imgur. I have a post for help under pictures so when I get a handle on it I'll post the covering pictures.   :t2030: :t2030: :t2030:
