radio setup on the taranis question
« on: May 04, 2017, 03:48:16 AM »
I've been going through the radio setup on my Taranis to get to know more about it since it's been too cold, raining, & windy to take my maiden flight  :t2338: I noticed the GPS Time Zone it's set on zero by default. my question is do I need to set it up? if so does anyone know what number to set it at for central time? also on the GPS coordinate format do I leave it on DMS or switch it to NEMA?

Thanks, Jeff   :coolguy:

:scratching_chin1: I take it since I didn't get a response to my question about the GPS Time Zone that setting doesn't mean anything?

I never set up anything in this category on my Taranis--never saw the need.  However, CST should be -6 hours from Greenwich time if that's what the zero is referring to.

Thanks, Tom  :t2030: I wasn't sure about that setting but since you never messed with it I won't worry about it.

For DMS vs NEMA use DMS - it's easier to understand if you ever need it.
