Great looking set up Randy, Have you got a weight on that bird with the lipo's. With those 12v car lamps, your gonna get a lot of calls for UFO's while flying at night. Expect the cherries and blueberries to be coming down the road.

Sweet, looks like it will be a great new video thread...

I like  the 1156/1157 (???) bulbs, they will really light the front up for the camera..... :t2030:

Ed,
The weight is approximately 5-1/2 pounds (minus the DieHard)

D:
Hopefully I won't be landing upside down in any bean fields anytime soon.

Dave:
The bulbs are actually from an old tractor lawn mower that I dismantled a few years ago. I knew someday I would find a use for them. (But they are for Car bulbs).

5 1/2 pounds, thats a big girl for sure. Good thing, she has six motors to keep her in the air. Nice set up.    :t2030:

I didn't say anything about landing inverted  b0230 I meant the look like they would withstand a harder landing if it should happen. Buuuuuuuuttttttttt I hope the camera is rolling if you land upside backwards.. :t2962:  :b0708:  :t2030: D.

Randy, that was the crash from earlier this year, right, Lots of vibration up there within the last minute of flight.  :t2105:

Yes that was the one.

I was in the process of bringing it down and if you do it too fast the props cavitate and cause a lot of oscillations. Right after that, I think I lost signal or lost power. You can hear the motors kick back in when it's inverted -- defo not what you want to do when you're upside down. Gravity doesn't need any help.
