Doberman 3 -- Other Builds I've been working on...
« on: May 04, 2019, 10:52:58 AM »
Whenever Detroit Multirotor comes out with a new frame, I get to build it and fly it...and if it survives, we try to sell it. Here are a couple of more recent ones in addition to the ones I posted back in February:

This one is based on a Doberman frame 220mm motor-to-motor. I guess it would be considered a "racing frame." I can take 6-inch props and up to 6S batteries. It is extremely light and extremely fast - well beyond my capabilities.

Thanks Jeff and Al.

I know it's different from the usual stuff, but I am learning a lot about the new components: ESCs, flight controllers, cameras, etc/

The Flight Controllers have really come a long way from the Naze and they're getting smaller and smaller.

They are for long range as opposed to racing and are super quiet. Racing props tend to be stiffer to better handle the flex required for instant amounts of torque. These are more "finesse" I guess you could say.
